Healthy Kids, Happy Planet!
Launching a mission-driven website for a plant-based education nonprofit — while quietly rebuilding the technical foundation underneath it.
The Challenge
A growing mission had outgrown the infrastructure holding it up.
Healthy Kids Happy Planet needed more than a new website. Behind the scenes, the organization was mid-transition between domain registrars, with email deliverability, donation processing, and newsletter communications all riding on a DNS setup that hadn't been rebuilt to match.
The goal was to launch a warm, editorial site that reflected the organization's plant-based education mission — without breaking email, donations, or supporter communications in the process.
The Approach
01 — Brand Identity
A mark built for credibility
Logo design and a full identity system — typography, color, and supporting marks — were developed to feel precise, modern, and trustworthy, giving the practice a visual foundation to build every future touchpoint on.

02 — Infrastructure & Migration
Rebuilding the foundation, not just the front end
A full registrar transition from Cloudflare to GoDaddy meant every DNS record needed to be reconfigured from scratch — MX, TXT, SPF, and DKIM — to preserve email deliverability and avoid disrupting the organization's day-to-day communication.

03 — Integrations & Launch Readiness
Donations and communications, live from day one
Donation processing was connected through Little Green Light, Constant Contact was verified for newsletter delivery, and legacy URLs were redirected so the organization could launch on a new domain without losing existing traffic or supporters.
The OutcomesThe unglamorous details that hold it together.
Completed a full domain registrar migration, from Cloudflare to GoDaddy, with zero email or site downtime.
Reconfigured MX, TXT, SPF, and DKIM records to preserve email deliverability through the transition.
Connected a live donation pathway through Little Green Light ahead of launch.
Verified Constant Contact and set up redirects so the site launched on a new domain without losing existing traffic.
