Reliable Boat Dock Service
A custom Squarespace site that turns a Lake Travis dock-building business into a clear, credible destination for waterfront homeowners.
The Challenge
A lower price.
A higher cost.
Reliable Boat Dock Service first reached out years ago after admiring a site built for a competing Lake Travis dock builder — but chose a lower-cost build elsewhere instead. That site never quite reflected the craftsmanship behind their work, and services, past projects, and how to get a quote stayed hard to pin down.
When they came back, the brief was simple: build the site they should have started with the first time — one that finally matched the reputation they’d already earned through referrals and repeat business.
The Approach
01 — Information Architecture
A clear map through a wide product line
Boat docks, boat lifts, stairs, accessories, residential services, and commercial services were reorganized into a navigation structure homeowners could actually follow — instead of guessing which category their project fell under.

02 — Responsive Design
Built to hold up on any screen
Every gallery, service page, and product listing was designed mobile-first, since most homeowners are checking availability or requesting a quote from their phone at the lake, not a desktop at home.
03 — Page & Visual Design
Letting the craftsmanship carry the page
Layouts were built to lead with the dock and stairway photography itself — large, image-forward galleries and project pages that let finished work do the selling, with a consistent path to request a quote on every page.
The OutcomesWhat changed, page by page.
Reorganized boat docks, boat lifts, stairs, and accessories into one clear product structure alongside residential and commercial service pages.
Redesigned every service and gallery page to lead with real project photography instead of a generic template.
Added a consistent, visible path to request a quote on every page of the site.
Built natively in Squarespace so the team can add finished projects and update service pages on their own.
